At Universal Bookbindery, Inc., our story is one of resilience, growth, and a commitment to excellence that spans a century. Since our inception in 1925 in San Antonio, Texas, we have transformed from a humble hand bindery in the back of a print shop into a leading force in bookbinding and graphic arts finishing.
With our roots tracing back to 1918 in Corpus Christi, we have always embraced change and innovation. In the 1950s, as the industry evolved with automation, we positioned ourselves at the forefront, investing in cutting-edge technologies to meet our customers’ ever-increasing demands. Today, our state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facility encompasses 50,000 square feet of advanced production space, complemented by an additional 6,000 square feet dedicated to storage.
Throughout our journey, we have garnered numerous awards, but our most cherished recognition is the prestigious Benjamin Franklin Statue from the Printing Industries of America. This esteemed accolade celebrates our unwavering dedication to quality and the skill that empowers us to deliver award-winning products.
At Universal Bookbindery, our rich history is not just a testament to our longevity but a reflection of our ongoing commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction. We honor the past while continually striving for excellence in every project we undertake, ensuring that your stories are told with the respect, precision, and beauty they deserve.
As we now celebrate 100 years of being in the bookbinding business, we welcome a new Muller Martini Diamant 60 books per minute casing in line to our fleet of binding equipment!
