Oversewn Binding

Oversewn is a method of sewing single sheets of paper.  This is an extremely durable method of binding single sheets but it will limit the books ability to lay open.  Most commonly used when binding thesis papers, and in rebinding where a book has fallen apart from the cover and needs to be oversewn for added durability.  This is always done on casebound books and would not be appropriate for a soft cover book.oversewing3web150x193
