Saddle Sewn

Saddle Sewn is a method where the text pages are sewn right down the middle of the center spread, similar to how a saddle stitched book is bound only with thread.  Think about the old passbook savings accounts as those were all saddle sewn.  Like side sewn books, we can offer this for both a hard cover or paper cover book.  We must fold these books as we first sew then make the final fold before trimming 3 sides.  Most common uses of this binding style are children’s books and creatively designed books.saddlesewing1 saddlesewing3 saddlesewing2
